O-ring compound is rubber grease made of vegetable oil. It is a thermally stable assembly compound designed to hold rubber parts, and then facilitating it in slipping into position with excellence lubricity: O-rings, Seals, Valves, Rubber Sleeves Brake caliper Master cylinder piston seals Diaphragms or any rubber / elastomer in place during the assembly of parts.
This product is designed to be completely soluble in petroleum and synthetic type fluids therefore will not interfere or plug filtration systems in transmissions, hydraulic or oil lubrication systems. In addition, O-ring compound will not adversely affect a wide variety of elastomer materials and is non-hazardous.
Product Application:
Apply O-ring compound to the part that the seal or O-Ring is inserted.
Apply an even amount of O-ring compound to the part being cautious not to use too much material.
Attach the O-Ring or seal and continue to assemble the part.
Wipe excessive O-ring compound after assembly.
Use a solvent (mineral spirits or similar) material to clean any remaining compound which may squeeze out after assembly.
This material may be applied at temperatures between 7. 2 deg F to 43 deg C.
O-ring compound can be used in parts where operating temperatures range from minus 43 deg C to 204 deg C.
