Medium Temperature Coal Tar Pitch
Physical and Chemical properties
Medium-temperature coal tar pitch is the mixture of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and polymer resin, which contains oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur heterocyclic compound and a small amount of polymer carbon substance. It is also the residue after the 360°C distillation, solidified into the elongated particles(1-5cm) in a fragile shell-shape glass looking under specific temperature without thermal effect. It is black fragile lumps under room-temperature, and can be converted into liquid when heating, with characteristic of shiny look, toxic in a slight odor. Its boiling point is no higher than 470°C and flash point is 204.4°C. Melting point around 75-95°C, 1.25-1.35g/cm3. Its production accounts for 50%-60% of coal tar.
Application
It can be used as binder pitch for the production of high-power graphite electrodes( mainly used in steel mills and other metal smelting ), aluminum with anode paste and prebaked anode adhesives ( mainly for the aluminum plant ), carbon black and carbon black oil( mainly for rubber tire factory ).
Industrial oil (fuel oil/blend oil or fire oil) can be made by adding certain percentage of anthracene and gas absorber oil to substitute petrochemical oil, and another way of using is directly add coal productions to be adhesive or fuels, its liquid can also be used as a refractory binder or raw materials of roof coatings, moisture proof agent and paving roads.

Transportation
In bulk when do domestic transportation for the purpose of saving costs, and packaged in polypropylene PP material bag( with sunscreen, 4.3kg/month gross weight ) when do exports.
Export goods are generally produced according to customer requirements, its softening points concentrate between 85°C to 95°C.
