BillBerry Plus
The Bilberry Plus Capsule is especially designed to improve vision and to sharpen the eyesight for people constantly facing the computer screens or glittery objects resulting in eye tiredness, short-sightedness, long-sightedness, etc. The product is enriched with the extracts of bilberry fruit, grape seed and marigold flower that contain 5% of lutein.
Marigold flower
A marigold flower contains abundant amounts of a valuable antioxidant compound called lutein. The lutein, contained within the flowers petals, is extracted and purified through a patented process and formulated into a natural, crystalline lutein extract ingredient under the name FloraGLO. It is then added to an array of foods and dietary supplements from multivitamins to fruit and vegetable juices. This lutein found not only in marigolds, but also in egg yolks, spinach, kale and other green leafy vegetables. The problem is that people generally dont eat nearly enough vegetables or eggs to realize the health benefits of lutein.
The manufacturing of the major ingredient of nutritional supplement Bilberry Plus Capsule is done by applying the patented technology of Kemin Health Company in the United States. Lutein is extracted from marigold and then crystallized. This has been granted GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) status by the FDA and can be used as an ingredient in health food and drink supplements. A patent of crystallization is also granted by Kemin Health Company.
Bilberry
Bilberry has been used for centuries, both medicinally and as a food in jams and pies. Bilberry fruit contains chemicals known as anthocyanosides, plant pigments that have excellent antioxidant properties. Anthocyanosides support and protect collagen structures in the blood vessels of the eyes, assuring strong, healthy capillaries that carry vital nutrients to eye muscles and nerves. They scavenge damaging particles in the body known as free radicals, helping to prevent or reverse damage to cells. Antioxidants have been shown to help prevent a number of long-term illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, and an eye disorder called macular degeneration. Bilberry also contains vitamin A and C, which are another antioxidant that help to prevent free radical damage to the eyes.
Grape Seed
Grape seed extracts are industrial derivatives from whole grape seeds. It is a natural plant substance that has a concentrated source of oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC). These antioxidants help protect cells from free radical damage and also promote healthy circulation. Grape seed extract is rich in polyphenols, a compound thats high in antioxidants. Studies have found that OPC to be more powerful antioxidants than vitamin C, E and beta-carotene.
Before grape seed extract was discovered, the best source of antioxidants came from vitamin C, E and beta-carotene. However, these sources were not powerful enough to fight the free radicals and are also excreted by the body within a short time of ingestion. Grape seed extract, on the other hand, has been shown to remain in the body for as long as 3 full days, and is 20 times more potent than vitamin C, and 50 times stronger than Vitamin E.

Eye protective nutrient
Numerous peer-reviewed studies link the important eye-health benefits of the natural antioxidant luteinsometimes referred to as the eye protective nutrient. The aging process can be associated with age-related macular degeneration and other serious optical conditions that adversely impact eye health and quality of vision. These studies report the importance of consuming luteinfrom dietary supplements and traditional dietary sources-- in increasing macular pigment optical density (MPOD) and reducing the likelihood of age-related macular and other serious conditions.
MPOD, according to the scientific literature, is an important marker of both macular health and visual function. Increases in MPOD are linked with a reduced likelihood of age related macular degeneration. Additionally, a recent, well-publicized intervention study in American war veterans reported that using a 10mg lutein supplement daily resulted in better visual function, by improving factors such as glare recovery and contrast sensitivity. Studies indicate that daily intakes of 6 mg to 10 mg are beneficial for promoting eye health.
The macula is in the center of the retina, directly behind the lens. It's a tiny area made up of millions of cells that help produce the vision needed to read and to see objects clearly. Scientists generally believe that macular pigment protects the retina. The density of macular pigment has been used as a key measurement of the health of the eye. Studies show that lutein and its co-existing molecule zeaxanthin are the predominant antioxidant pigments and the only carotenoids found in the macula and lens.
