What are they made of?
Coco Sugar and Coco Nectar are both made from the sap or sweet toddy (tuba) gathered from the coconut flower or inflorescence. Coco Sugar and Coco Nectar are all-natural, free from additives and preservatives.
How are they produced?
Coco Sugar is made by boiling fresh coconut sap under moderate heat to evaporate the water part and later allowed to cool and solidify.
Coco Nectar is made by boiling fresh coconut sap under low heat just until it becomes sticky. This retains more of the nutrients and amino acids of the coconut sap.
What are the health benefits of Coco Sugar and Coco Nectar?
- Low glycemic index: 35, ideal for diabetic persons. Does not increase blood glucose/sugar level
- Rich in nutrients like Potassium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, and micronutrients.
- Low calories, thus good for weight management
- Low glucose index is good for lowering LDL (bad cholesterol)
