3.Application

With a wide variety of applications, sodium bicarbonate is used every

day in the food we eat and products we use. Industrial applications utilize sodium

bicarbonate as a reactive carbonate or sodium source and as a pH buffer. It is used in

environmental applications such as air pollution control, acid neutralization, and water

treatment. A specialized Coarse Granular product is used in soda blasting to clean

surfaces. Industries such as leather tanning, pulp & paper, plastic, oil well drilling and

textile processing also utilize sodium bicarbonate, and swimming pool applications use sodium bicarbonate to provide pH adjustment.
